I found a few more plasmoids in playground. RSSNow plasmoid looks nice. It has this simple little animation to make the transition from one news item to another look smooth.
I noticed there is a plasmoid called “networkmanager” in playground. I wonder if that’ll use the NetworkManager backend and allow me to connect to wireless access points and change network settings on the fly; that’ll be awesome, I really miss that in KDE4. KNetworkManager4 is in playground but I couldn’t get it to build.

When I blogged about this, it was in “playground” (SVN); it seems to have been moved out from there now. I wonder if it’s part of the official 4.1 packages. I’ll look it up.

Actually, it still _is_ in the playground. Find it here :

Apparently, it’s not part of the KDE 4.1 packages. Atleast not the Kubuntu packages.

No, unfotunately it’s not there anymore.
To bad, they dumped some cool plasmoids (like tran-clock) as well.

Alex,
RSSNow is currently in kdereview, which means it will soon be moved to the official packages. Find it here :

Also, I could not find “tran-clock” but if you mean “train-clock”, you can find it here :
