Hello people of the planet,
[drum_roll] Here I am. This is Medieval Mutt. Your host tonight. And tomorrow; the day after that; another beyond; then the next… well, you get the picture. You are pretty much stuck with me if you hang around these parts of the woods.
Oddmint was supposed to be a web hosting company. It was born two years ago but it never saw the light. While I leased a server (powered by Linux, yay!) and set everything up, I never gave it the final push. So much for two years of planning! I’ll never let go off the server; or the name. They both mean something to me. But a commercial web host, it will never be.
I love Pingu. And everything that surrounds it. I am talking about Tux’s lil kiddo. It’s cool; It’s sexy; It’s Linux for the Desktop. I had been trying out a darn many distros of late, the alphas, the betas and candidates for the release. I hit walls. I brought some down and I walked around others. And then, I hit more walls. But it was all fun and I figured it’d help somebody out there if I put everything down on paper. More even, I’d find help. Oh and TuxMachines.org always inspired me.
So what is Oddmint? Is it a blog? Is it a news site? Is it a red coloured site in blue underpants? I don’t know. I do know this. It’s home to things “Linux” and it’s home to things “Not” Linux. It’s home to things I have planned and it’s home to things I have not planned. It’s home to things I have made and it’s home to things I have not made. It’s home to my musings and it’s home to otherwise. It’s odd. It’s mint. It’s a little bit about this and a little bit about that.
